13 -cis-?retinyl hexadecanoate是十六烷酸的羧基与13-cis-retinol的羟基缩合而成的视黄酯,是由维生素A棕榈酸酯在玉米片中形成的13顺式异构体。13-顺式维生素 A 棕榈酸酯的生物活性是全反式维生素 A 棕榈酸酯的 75%，是维生素 A 中最具生物活性的形式。

13-cis-Vitamin A palmitate (13-cis-Retinyl palmitate) is a 13-cis isomer formed by vitamin A palmitate in corn flakes. 13-cis-Vitamin A palmitate has a biological activity of 75% of all-trans-vitamin A palmitate, the most biologically ac-tive form of vitamin A[1].
Of the total vitamin A palmitate content, 5% is the 13-cis and less than 1% is the 9-cis with 94% being all-trans[1].
