5-Formyl-CTP is a modified nucleoside triphosphate that is commonly used to replace naturally occurring cytidine triphosphate (CTP) during in vitro mRNA synthesis and is of great significance in studying RNA metabolism and signaling pathways[1]. 5-Formyl-CTP actively participates in RNA formation as a substrate during transcription, promoting RNA processing, modification, and various cellular processes (such as gene expression and regulation)[2]. 5-Formyl-CTP can act as a nucleoside to participate in regulating the conversion of methylated DNA to unmethylated DNA through oxidative pathways[3, 4].
