Acesulfame-d4 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of acesulfame by GC- or LC-MS. Acesulfame is a non-caloric sweetener used as a sugar alternative that is not metabolized by humans.1 Excreted acesulfame has been found in wastewater and is considered a pollutant.
