CUE Domain Containing 1, also know as CUEDC1 contains 1 CUE domain. TheCUE domain is structurally associated to the ubiquitin-binding UBA domain andexists as a domain-swapped dimer which makes additional contacts withubiquitin, and as a result, binds ubiquitin with higher affinity. The CUEdomain is discovered in proteins with diverse functions including proteinsorting and degradation of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum.
