EGFDomain-Specific O-Linked N-Acetylglucosamine Transferase (EOGT) takes part inthe regulation of Notch receptor. EOGT catalyzesthe transfer of a single N-acetylglucosamine from UDP-GlcNAc to a serine/ threonineresidue in extracellular proteins resulting in their modification with a beta-linkedN-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc). EOGT mainlyglycosylates the Thr residue positioned between the fifth and sixth conservedcysteines of folded EGF-like domains.
