GLP-2 (1-34) (human) (trifluoroacetate salt)

GLP-2 (1-34) (human) is a synthetic form of the human peptide GLP-2 that contains the full human sequence with the addition of an arginine residue at the C-terminal end.¹ It increases survival of myenteric neurons cultured alone (EC₅₀ = 0.35 nM) and when co-cultured with mast cells to induce cell death.² It does not stimulate insulin release from isolated rat pancreatic islets in the presence of glucose when used at concentrations ranging from 2.5 to 250 nM.¹ GLP-2 (1-34) (human) also does not affect formation of adenomas in a transgenic model of intestinal tumorigenesis using Apc^Min/+ mice.³
