Deoxyribodipyrimidine photo-lyase (phrB) is a member of the DNAphotolyase class-1 family. phrB takes part in repair of UV radiation-inducedDNA damage. phrB catalyzes the light-dependent monomerization (300-600nm) of cyclobutyl pyrimidine dimers (incis-syn configuration), which are formed between closest bases on the same DNAstrand upon exposure toultraviolet radiation.
